Gaskets
Seal Dynamics is known as one of the leading suppliers of gaskets in the industry. As such, we supply many varied industries. Our vast inventory contains many different types of gaskets including Die Cut Rubber Gaskets, Flexible Graphite Gaskets, Heat Exchanger Gaskets, Hose Fitting Gaskets, Metal Jacketed Gaskets, Pipe Flange Gaskets, Ring and Joint Gaskets, Spiral Wound Gaskets, Sponge Gaskets, Teflon Gaskets, and Rubber bonded to metal gaskets.
Although used in many different types of applications, the most common
use for gaskets are as:
Static Seals - For applications where there is no relative motion between
parts of the gland that contact to the gasket. Small amounts of movement, such as might be caused by thermal expansion, vibration, bolt
stretch, or gasket response to fluid pressure, do not alter the static
definition.
Face Seals - Typically designed for a wide array of applications; from
aircraft engine accessory gearboxes and main shafts, to hydraulic pumps,
starters, compressors, industrial generators and other high speed,
rotating machinery.
Shims and Insulators - Also known as Spacers, these Gaskets provide
extra insulation from damage due to electrical or mechanical applications.
Washers - Many times used in conjunction with O-rings for both static
and dynamic sealing applications, washers are used to prevent extrusion
of the O-ring when it is subjected to high pressures or when the extrusion
gaps are excessive.
In addition to standard size gaskets, Seal Dynamics can provide custom shapes and sizes through our various gasket manufacturing processes
using many different gasket materials such as EPDM and VITON®, and/or compounds as may be required by the specific application.
